Update 2/13/2014 – We’ve tested the Photon Flash Player and Browser and found it to be a better solution for us as the free version of Puffin eventually asked us to upgrade to the paid version. We wrote a new guide showing the steps to install Photon with some trouble shooting tips that you can read by clicking here.
How to Play Pepper Panic Saga on Your Android Phone or Tablet, and on the iPad and iPhone
Wondering why you can’t find the Pepper Panic Saga app in your phone or tablet’s app store? To date King games offers mobile apps for Candy Crush Saga, Pet Rescue Saga, Bubble Witch Saga, Papa Pear Saga, and more recently Farm Heroes Saga that you can play on your Android or iPhone. For now there is no mobile version of Pepper Panic Saga that you can play on the iPad or download from iTunes or Google Play. So if you don’t want to wait to play Pepper Panic Saga on your smartphone or tablet I have good news for you. And, to top it off this won’t require you to hack, jailbreak, or root your phone in order to play.
I did this on a long car ride yesterday on my Android phone and found that it was pretty easy to do. All you have to do is find the Puffin Free Browser in your app store and download it. Once you have Puffin you just need to make one change in the settings to change it to Theater mode. Then you can play Pepper Panic directly through Facebook exactly the same way you do on your home computer.
I didn’t have an iPhone or a tablet to test this on, but from what I’ve read the steps should be similar. I used a screenshot app as a visual-aid to walk you through the process, you can click on the images to enlarge them.
(Update 12/20/2013 – I have heard that iPad users are also using the Photon web browsing app from the iTunes store to play the game. You can locate it here. It looks like the app costs $4.99 and I don’t see a free version. Since I don’t have any association with Puffin or Photon this is just a suggestion rather than an endorsement. Also, I don’t have an iPad or iPhone so I am relying on the reports of reliable sources who confirm that it works.)
Since writing this article two months ago I have had some mixed reports about Puffin. Some players use it and have no problems and others seem to prefer the free version of Photon for Android. I will would love to hear user feedback on what is working for them since I primarily play the game on a laptop. If you are having trouble using Puffin read our new guide on installing the Photon Flash Player and Browser app. If you had trouble with Puffin please leave a comment below and I will think about revising this tutorial for Photon instead.
Steps to Play Pepper Panic Saga On Your Phone or Tablet (Android and iPad)
The major drawback of playing the games this way is the size on a phone which is pretty small. However, after I played a few times I got used to it and was able to complete a few levels. I also loaded Papa Pear Saga and was able to play my current level which I’m not able to do on the mobile app, since levels above 120 weren’t available at that time.
It will definitely work if you need to get your fix. Give it a shot and leave a comment on your experience. Share this post so that your friends can enjoy it too.
*NOTE – If you don’t already have flash installed on your android device you can no longer get it through the Google Play Store. The store no longer supports flash, but don’t worry you can still play. On the Adobe website they have an easy to follow tutorial on how to download and install it on your tablet or phone. Manually install flash on your Android Device.
