Guide to Play Pepper Panic Saga on Android and iPad Tablets Using the Photon Browser
How to Play Pepper Panic Saga on Android and iPad Until the Mobile App is Released
As many of you have already found out by searching iTunes or the Google Play store there is no mobile app available to play Pepper Panic Saga on your phone or tablet. Eventually King will release a mobile app just like all of their other games, but if history is any indication this process takes time and we probably won’t see the Pepper Panic Saga mobile app for a few more months. In the meantime it is possible to play Pepper Panic Saga on your Android tablet or Android phone for free. If you are an iPhone or iPad user you can do this as well, but you will have to buy the app that makes it possible as there is no free version for your devices.
Since writing our original article on playing Pepper Panic Saga on your smartphone using the Puffin browser for Android and iPad we’ve had reports that some users had problems. While Puffin worked for us and we never had trouble using it there came a time when it asked us to upgrade to the paid version to continue so we sought out a replacement. Based on the feedback of other players we found a solution with the free Photon Browser from the Google Play store which we’ve tested and can confirm works well. Unfortunately iPad and iPhone users don’t have access to the free version and will have to pay a small fee to purchase the browser through iTunes.
We know many players won’t want to wait for a few more months to play Pepper Panic Saga on Android or iPad so we created this step-by-step guide to walk you through the process. We have only tested this by using our Droid Razr phone, but know several players who have used Photon on Android tablets and iPads. Since installing the app a few days ago we haven’t experienced any related problems and find that the game plays great. We don’t work for Photon or have any advanced knowledge on Android or iPhone apps so we would suggest you use the same caution you would use for any app that you install from iTunes or the Google Play store. We also want to stress as a disclaimer that we are not encouraging anyone to spend their money on apps. We are just providing you with the information we have gathered from our own experience and from other players.
Steps to Install Photon to Play Pepper Panic Saga on Android and iPad
2. Tap install to download the app.
How to Set Up the Photon Flash Player to Play Pepper Panic Saga on Android and iPad
Once you enable flash you will be able to view Facebook in the same way that it appears on your personal computer. At this point you can click on the Pepper Panic Saga icon and the game will load. The only change we made was to enable drag mode which allowed us to swipe the screen and move the peppers. This was easy to do, but since the free version of Photon shows ads we had to view the screen in landscape mode in order to do it. In the screenshots below you can see how to do this and then you should be able to play the game without issue.
Some Trouble Shooting Tips to Play Pepper Panic Saga on Android and iPad
While Photon works great once you get it installed there were a couple of hurdles we experienced along the way. The first problem we ran into was when we logged in Facebook kept asking us to confirm our account. It was doing this because it didn’t recognize our location. This was a problem because like many people who play games we have added hundreds of friends. They verify that you are really you by showing pictures of your friends and asking who they are. Since we had added so many friends we had no clue whose baby’s they were showing us and we had to abort the process. To resolve this issue we had to log into Facebook on our laptop and confirm that it was actually us who had tried to log in from a location in the Middle East.
After we sorted out the location when we started Photon we had trouble with the app seeming to hang when we clicked on the lightning bolt to start flash. We figured out this was caused by our Android phone trying to load the mobile Facebook app and was easy to fix by typing Facebook.com into the URL field at the top of the screen. Once we logged in, started flash, and clicked on the Pepper Panic Saga Icon in Facebook we were able to play the game with no problems.
The ads are only slightly annoying and we haven’t found any reason to upgrade to the paid version. For the time being this seems like a great way to play the game until the official King Pepper Panic Saga mobile app is released. If you are a Photon user has experienced problems with the app please leave a comment so we can update the guide.
*NOTE – If you don’t already have flash installed on your android device you can no longer get it through the Google Play Store. The store no longer supports flash, but don’t worry you can still play. On the Adobe website they have an easy to follow tutorial on how to download and install it on your tablet or phone. Manually install flash on your Android Device.
