How to Start Pepper Panics in Pepper Panic Saga – Guide With Tips
In our article on peppers we talked about how to start a pepper panic in basic terms. If you haven’t read that article yet we suggest you do so first by clicking here. This article will explain pepper panics in more detail and talk about different ways to create them. If you look at the screenshot above you will see that the object is to match peppers so that they will grow big enough to explode. Each time a pepper explodes it causes all the other peppers of that color to grow by one size.
How to Start Pepper Panics – Chain Reactions
If you’ve got enough grown peppers on the board you can start a chain reaction. During a chain reaction one pepper explodes and grows other peppers to the stage where they are ready to explode. One by one each of these peppers also explode and continue to grow all the other peppers of that color on the board. If there are enough large peppers there, ten of them will explode in a row which will create the pepper panic.
A chain reaction of exploding peppers can contain different colors of peppers as long as they are exploding one right after the other. In the example in the screenshot below you can see that the red pepper to the left of the word “chain” is exploding and the blue pepper on the top of the board is on fire and will explode next.
You can also see the “X2” at the bottom of the board, that indicates that two peppers have exploded in a row. When the blue pepper at the top explodes it will cause all the stage 5 blue peppers on the board to explode one after another. In the screenshot you can see that there are more than enough stage 5 blue peppers for this chain reaction to create a pepper panic. It is important to note that sometimes a chain reaction will fizzle out before it reaches ten explosions in a row, and in that case the pepper panic won’t start.
How to Start Pepper Panics in Pepper Panic Saga – What Happens When You Start One?
When a pepper panic does start a couple of things happen. The first thing that happens is that all the peppers that have been grown past stage one are cleared from the board. The second thing that happens is that this creates a lot of space and a cascade of new peppers fall onto the board. Some of these peppers will match as they fall into the space which can fill requirements for “matching patterns” levels. When they match they may also fill orders for “complete orders” levels, and may even create shockwaves that can damage statues in “destroy all the statues” levels.
For this reason starting a pepper panic in most of the levels of Pepper Panic Saga is usually a good thing. Especially when you are stuck trying to complete a level requirement and the board is just not cooperating. In times like these getting a pepper panic started can rearrange things enough for you to reach your goals and finish the level.
How to Start Pepper Panics in Pepper Panic Saga – What is the Best Way to Start One?
The answer to that question is, “it depends.” There are a wide variety of situations that come up as you move through the levels in Pepper Panic Saga. These different situations call for different approaches to starting pepper panics. In general there are two basic ways to start pepper panics:
- Grow peppers of one color until they are ready to explode, and then start a chain reaction.
- Grow peppers of a lot of different colors in order to explode a pepper and hope, that peppers of other colors will combine to explode and start a chain reaction as they fall into place on the board.
The layout of the board is generally how you decide which of these two strategies will be best. Take the example of the following two screenshots. The first one is level 6 where there is a lot of room and plenty of peppers for you to focus on growing one color. The second screenshot is for level 59 in which the board is so small that you will never be able to start a pepper panic by growing peppers of just one color.
How to Start Pepper Panics in Pepper Panic Saga – Tips and Tricks
As mentioned different situations call for different methods and tricks to get pepper panics started. On a large board you will usually be able to create a pepper panic by focusing on one color of peppers. In this scenario it is still important to use every available trick to help get them started as fast as possible. One example would be to fire a shockwave in the direction of a stage 5 pepper in order to get it to explode. This will potentially start a chain reaction and will grow other peppers as well. It will also help you to conserve moves which is always important in Pepper Panic Saga.
Another trick is to make moves that will combine peppers in such a way that you can make other peppers combine after your match. The following screenshot illustrates both of these concepts for how to start pepper panics:
Move the yellow pepper down to make a match that will drop the top 2 orange peppers and create a shockwave going down and explode the stage 5 blue pepper at the bottom of the board. This will start a chain reaction as the other stage 5 blue pepper will explode directly after the first.
How to Start Pepper Panics – Some Useful Tips
The following tips are all helpful to create pepper panics. Depending on the situation the goal is always to start a pepper panic as fast as possible. Each of these tips will help you get that done.
- If you are trying to create a pepper panic of a specific color try to avoid growing peppers of different colors
- When trying for a pepper panic of any color and working on a large board try to work on the bottom of it so that other matches can happen above when the peppers fall into place
- When trying to start a pepper panic of any color try to make moves that will combine more than one group of peppers at once
- On small boards always look to get as many grown peppers as you can before exploding one
- Use shockwaves to grow or explode peppers when they aren’t in position to make a match with them
- Use cages to grow peppers that you can use to start a second pepper panic after the first has cleared the board
- Use pepper panics to clear the board when things aren’t set up to complete your goals
- Use pepper panics to clear the grown peppers from the board when a color you need is mostly at stage 1 – After a pepper panic all of the stage 1 peppers will be left behind and can be used to make matches to complete orders
