How to Create a Shockwave In Pepper Panic Saga
How to Create a Shockwave in Pepper Panic Saga – Basics
If you have played Candy Crush Saga you know that combining more than 3 candies together at the same time creates special candies that have special powers. In Pepper Panic Saga the peppers themselves grow larger when you match them and explode when they reach their full size. Additionally, combining 4 or more peppers at once causes a “shockwave” which clears out the small peppers in a row and grows larger ones to their next bigger size. The shockwave looks like a fireball and they can do a lot of neat things.

In the video you see that the shockwave travels in the direction of a straight line when 4 peppers are combined, depending on how the combination was made. You can also combine 5 peppers in a “T” shape or an “L” shape to create a double shockwave that goes in both directions.
An “L” shape
Shockwaves are a powerful tool to speed up the pepper growing process and also come in handy when you are dealing with destroying statues. In most cases you will always want to combine 4 or more peppers together when you get the chance. You will hear us refer to “T” and “L” shaped matches in a lot of our guides as they are necessary for completing several levels.
How to Create Shockwaves – Tips
There is one odd fact about shockwaves that you might not have noticed. Shockwaves that come from combining 4 peppers in a straight line clear the small peppers that are in their path and grow ones that have already been grown at least one stage. In contrast shockwaves that come from combining 5 peppers in a “T” or “L” shape grow all peppers in their path including the small ones. This info can come in handy in many situations when you don’t want to clear important peppers by accident.
Combining 5 peppers or more in a straight line will not create a shockwave. Instead it grows all the peppers of that color by one stage just like exploding a pepper does. In some cases if you have a straight line 5 way match it might be better to turn it into a “L” or “T” shaped match, especially if you are trying to create a shockwave.
